Tower fans can be either floor standing or placed on a desk top as there are lots of different sizes, there are even mini tower fans that provide a nice but small amount of cooling. Tower fans also have lots of features that are common with desk top fans such as oscillation and different power settings; with the the oscillation the fan turns to blow air in a wide array of directions and with the power settings you can adjust the power so that it is just cold enough for your needs.

But there are also many cool features that the tower fans have that the basic desk top fans usually do not. They often have a breeze mode which is very quite but provides a nice, gentle cooling effect. They also often have timers so that you can set the tower fan to turn on or off at any given time and with the quiet operation of the breeze mode this can be ideal for using the fan at night (we all know how noisy some fans can be!). Using a fan at night can be lovely as hot nights can be a nightmare where sleep is concerned and so with a nice cool breeze from a tower fan can offer untold relief from the heat.

The tower fans are also quieter as they are enclosed and so allot of the noise stays within the enclosure of the tower fan. This makes for a much more relaxing use of the fan and they are also very thin and so very easy to place in any room. There are also some that come with a remote control which can be very useful for operating the fan at a distance and also at night when it can be hard to see and get to the fan to turn it on or off should you choose.

So tower fans offer lots of nice, quiet cooling and also have some excellent features. They are also not much more than the standard desk top fans and so you can easily treat yourself to all of the benefits of a tower fan without having to spend a fortune.
